Geri & Rosie (Denver, CO)

We adopted Rosie in June, 2020, and had no idea that she had separation anxiety. We left our condo to walk to the store. When we stepped out of the elevator on our return, we were surprised to hear loud barking, squealing and we could hear her jumping against the door. We were shocked and upset. We started working with a trainer for Rosie to learn commands, and she highly recommended Believe in your Dog with Jackie. We started working with her the end of August and continued until December. This was our choice, as we did not feel confident to work with her alone yet.

We were both very anxious when we began. We worked remotely with Jackie and she immediately put us at ease. Her encouragement and patience helped us right away. We met remotely once a week, and she provided weekly spreadsheets with advice and comments. We were always able to contact her if we had questions in between our remote sessions. We went from feeling utterly defeated to pure optimism.

We can now actually go out for a few hours! We can go shopping, to lunch, haircuts, etc. We had our ups and downs, but Jackie always got us through, and we couldn’t be more grateful. Her knowledge and professionalism has made all the difference. She also provided suggestions about what to read, and sent us many handouts to print out. She also suggested a Facebook support group which has helped. She has truly provided us with a sense of freedom and relief. We now enjoy Rosie more than ever . Also, Jackie remains interested and concerned and checks on us, always providing needed guidance. There’s no way we could’ve done it without her.
